What you need for an International Money Transfer

International Money Transfer has a set of rules and requirements that will enable you to perform your transfer with ease.

Following are the requirements:

  • Your full name and street address (not PO Box)
  • The recipient’s full name and street address (not a PO Box), bank name and account details (for example IBAN, Sort Codes, or Routing Codes)
  • A SWIFT code.

IBAN

IBAN is International Bank’s Account Number. It is extremely important in many countries during international funds transfers.

SWIFT code

SWIFT code is a unique code used to recognize a particular bank. In NAB Internet Banking, when you enter a valid IBAN your SWIFT code gets generated on its own.

In case you do not have a SWIFT code, you are allowed to use the full street address of the recipient’s bank. But note that SWIFT code is usually recommended.
